(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – US President Barack Obama met at the White House the President of Iraqi Kurdistan Massoud Barzani, praising the courage of the Kurdish Peshmerga force, the fundamental field ally of the US in the war against ISIS.
According to France Press Agency, “Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have renewed to Barzani the continued support of the United States to Iraqi Kurdistan and the Kurds of Iraq.”
“The two presidents also stressed their commitment to a unified, federal and democratic Iraq,” the agency added.
Media advisor in the Office of President of the Kurdistan region Mahmoud Falah confirmed on Tuesday (5 May 2015), that the president Massoud Barzani would meet with US President Barack Obama.
