Interesting article in the Oct/Nov 2013 issue of Church of Scotland, World Mission (WM) Magazine. Pages 13 & 14.
While calling for its special brand of “Peace & Justice” in “Israel/Palestine”, the CoS appears to have discarded the notion of a two-state solution (if it every really supported it) and is now, apparently, advocating for a one-state solution:
“‘We call for the application of the relevant international resolutions concerning the Palestinian cause on all parties involved. We call for the principle of having a state for all its citizens, based on respect of religion, equality, justice, freedom and respect for pluralism.’”
As well as a call for your prayers for this one-state solution, CoS asks its members to “Invest in Peace” with;
An evening of stories from recent trips to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, with prayers for peace.
