Boaz_Sadeh__81_On Sunday 30 November, 2014, a World Aids day service and concert will be held at The West London Synagogue of British Jews, which is the oldest Reform Synagogue in Britain,

Following last year’s World AIDS Day service and concert with The London Gay Men’s Chorus, West London Synagogue is delighted to be repeating the event in 2014.

For this year’s event, the event it partnering with JAT (formerly the Jewish AIDS Trust) and the acclaimed Diversity Choir in presenting Dreams.

This event marks Diversity Choir’s debut at West London Synagogue.

Inspired by the theme of ‘dreams’, the service and concert reflect collective hope for heightened awareness of HIV/AIDS, the hope for further medical advance, and the dream of a future without AIDS.

The event is in support of JAT, with the service beginning at 6pm, led by West London Synagogue’s Rabbi David Mitchell, and featuring participatory liturgy, a range of songs and readings to reflect our shared dream.

The service will include a dedication to the millions of people across the globe affected by HIV/AIDS, with a moving memorial to those who sadly have lost their lives to the disease.

Rabbi David Mitchell adds: ‘‘We very much look forward to hosting Diversity, and supporting JAT. The WLS community, as always, looks forward to offering a warm welcome to those who join us on the night, especially for the seasonal LGBTQ buffet dinner that follows the service and concert.’
