A number of the students of the Science and Industry University in Tehran who were arrested in student gatherings in the university or in street demonstrations were sentenced to 10 years of prison all together.
These students who were detained in Evin Prison for some time after their arrest were temporarily released on bail until they were summoned to the Revolutionary Court this summer and their initial sentences were announced to them…
The reason for the arrest of some these students has been stated as ‘being active in the presidential elections in 2009’ and ‘sending emails’…
Some of these students who were summoned to court said that their trials did not last more than 6 to 7 minutes.
