Dear Renaud,
The situation is getting worse. Israel's latest poverty statistics showincreasing numbers of families falling into poverty. And while we try tohelp them - with food assistance, vocational training and free dental care -the Government is taxing us.
<span>Please take a minute to catch up with the situation in Israel(http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=194460) and read the JerusalemPost editorial endorsing our plea to the Israeli government to exempt usfrom VAT (http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Editorials/Article.aspx?id=194656)
With food prices rising, the value of dollar donations falling, andincreasing demands for our help from Israel's poorest citizens, we urge youto help in any way you can. Visit our website - www.hazonyeshaya.org - andmake an online donation at http://hazonyeshaya.org/donations.html, or pleaseget in touch if you can come in and volunteer in our Soup Kitchens(emailvolunteers@hazonyeshaya.org).
With warm wishes for a healthy winter,
Abraham Israel
