Saudi Arabia Gets Seat on UN Women's Rights Board

Now I get why we give $6.3 billion per year to the seeping pustule known as the United Nations — for the laughs:
Saudi Arabia has secured a seat on the board running the new UN super agency for women, despite controversy over the Gulf state's human rights record. …
In Saudi Arabia women are forbidden to drive and require permission from a male relative to take major decisions.
No doubt Western UN representatives will bow their heads in dutiful shame as fiends who have women whipped for the crime of getting gang-raped lecture them about women's rights.
