Remember this!!!! "Anti-Jewish film "With God on Our Side".

May I respectfully suggest to those SCOTTISH residents that you send this or similar message, in your own name, addressed to your individual constituency and regional MSPs (searchable at http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/apps2/msp/msphome/default.aspx ), as I have with mine.
Please advise me of any message and/or reply received.

According to various sources, the Cross-Party Group on Palestine meeting within the Scottish Parliament, scheduled for Wed Nov 10, 2010 (coinciding with the 72nd anniversary of 'Kristallnacht' Nov 9/10, 1938) may be the venue for staging a showing of the allegedly anti-Jewish film "With God on Our Side". The following report highlights concerns from elsewhere in the UK which this film elicits.
It may be difficult to understand how supporting the abrogation of the rights of Jews to self-determination enhances the rights of Palestinians in this same regard.
Such programmes, within the Scottish Parliament building, can only bring the standing of our Parliament into disrepute and does nothing to enhance the prospects of a peaceful and just solution to the Arab/Israel conflict.
I urge you to make your displeasure known to Parliament.

Scotland.

" Yes We Can"! was a highly successful slogan used by Barak Obama to secure his presidency.
It is also worth remembering that it also applies to our own efforts on behalf of our families and friends in Israel and our own communities here in Scotland and elsewhere.
You may recall that I recently raised awareness of the intentions of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish activists to employ use of the racist film "With God on Our Side" at various venues, including the Cross-Party Group on Palestine meeting scheduled for next Wednesday ( Nov 10). The good news is that, after I asked one of my local MSPs to raise the matter within the Scottish Parliament, he reports that the meeting has been cancelled.
My MSP has written:
Renaud
I have been working on this matter and have spoken to a number of the members of the CPG. I have this afternoon heard that the CPG meeting has been cancelled.
Hope this has been of some help.
Regards,
This small victory will, of course, not put our haters off but it does show that if we act timeously and with conviction, particularly when we can show that certain events could reflect badly on reputations, then those sensible representatives in authority will support us.
Thank you all who took the trouble to support me in this.
 Renaud.
