Oxfam Promotes Anti-Semitic, Homophobic Terror Activist
Oxfam, in collaboration with the East London Mosque, is running an exhibition on the 17th January titled: ‘Gaza: Through my Eyes’, with Ibrahim Hewitt, a trustee of Hamas-linked Interpal who has called for the killing of homosexuals. Even worse: the event is due to take place in the East London Mosque, one of the most extreme platforms of hatred in Europe.
Ibrahim Hewitt has referred to the “so-called Holocaust”, [Blood on the Holy Land: Report on the Visit by a Delegation of British Muslims to Occupied Palestine]. Further, in a pamphlet written by Hewitt, he advocates the killing of apostates and adulterers, and demands that homosexuals suffer “severe punishments” for their “great sin”. [ Ibrahim Hewitt, What does Islam Say?, The Muslim Educational Trust, April 2004 ]
As for Oxfam’s partner, the East London Mosque is one of Europe’s most notorious platforms for hate. Last month, the East London Mosque was due to host Shakeel Begg, who describes jihad as “the greatest of deeds”.
The British Government has acknowledged that the East London Mosque is “the key institution for the Bangladeshi wing of Jamaat-e-Islami in the UK.” [Jamaat-e-Islami is a violent Islamist terror group responsible for the mass-murder of of women, journalists and intellectuals during the 1971 Liberation War].
Other East London Mosque speakers have included Saad al-Beraik, a “prominent [Saudi] government official cleric”, who refers to Jews as “monkeys” and has said, “Muslim brothers in Palestine, do not have any mercy neither compassion on the Jews, their blood, their money, their flesh. Their women are yours to take, legitimately. God made them yours. Why don’t you enslave their women? Why don’t you wage jihad? Why don’t you pillage them?”
Interpal, for which Hewitt is a leading trustee, is closely linked with the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas. Two YouTube videos from November and December 2013 show Interpal’s other managing trustee, Essam Mustafa, with Hamas terror leader Ismail Haniyeh, during a visit to the Gaza Strip for the Miles of Smiles Convoy. In the first video, dated 23 November 2013, Mustafa can be seen exiting the same vehicle as Haniyeh, and the two are later pictured sitting together. In another video, dated 3 December 2013, Mustafa and Haniyeh can again be seen together, this time clapping and singing.
During a 2012 convoy, Mustafa joined Hamas leaders on a visit of the family homes of Hamas ‘martyrs’, including Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, a senior Hamas leader who once stated: “We will kill Jews everywhere.”
Why is Oxfam happy to work with extremists who call for violence against homosexuals and the rape of Jewish women?
Sadly, they’ve done it before.
