Saddam's fans gathered in Vienna, Muslim journalist claims
More than 100 people gathered in Vienna to commemorate the death of late Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, it has been claimed.
Amer Albayati, a journalist and founder of the Association of Liberal Muslims in Austria, told the Kronen Zeitung today (Tues) he has information that 120 supporters of the dictator came together in Vienna recently to mark the fourth anniversary of the day he died.
Hussein was brought to trial after being captured by US American troops in December 2003. He was executed by hanging on 30 December 2006.
"Around 120 people gathered in Vienna-Landstraße to commemorate his death. They are of the opinion that Saddam Hussein was a good martyr," Albayati said.
