The Muslim Brotherhood - A Clear and Present Danger

British Blogs

I have been reading alarming reports about Christians being attacked by Muslim Brotherhood linked front groups/affiliated organizations like Al Qaeda during the holidays in Iraq and Nigeria. The most recent attack occurred in Egypt, the home of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Many Americans believe this threat is a distant one and has little to do with them. Nothing can be further from the truth.
Today we are seeing a growing number of anti-Semetic attacks here in America, across Europe and now Christians in the Middle East. True to form the Muslim Brotherhood blames Zionists for these attacks against Christians. According to Steven Emerson in his column, "Revealed: The Jews Are Responsible for Coptic Church Bombing!" states:
"Rather than address the threat directly and offer assistance to stem it, Islamists are building their scapegoat. The rhetoric can’t be dismissed as solely the rantings of crazy Iranian mullahs. A Muslim Brotherhood official, an Egyptian lawyers group and Lebanon’s grand mufti have all said the same thing, though they offer varying motives."
Muslim Brotherhood affiliates/front groups like the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) have led the way to demonize Israel and blame her for every form of evil. Emerson points out:
American Islamist leaders are not immune from playing the Zionist card, either.
A coalition of American Islamist groups issued a statement condemning a 2001 raid on a Texas computer business for alleged ties to Hamas. “American Muslims view yesterday’s action as just one of a long list of attempts by the pro-Israel lobby to intimidate and silence all those who wish to see Palestinian Muslims and Christians free themselves of a brutal Apartheid-like occupation. We believe the genesis of this raid lies not in Washington, but in Tel Aviv.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America, Islamic Circle of North America, Islamic Association for Palestine, Muslim Alliance in North America, Muslim Public Affairs Council, and Muslim Students Association were among the groups signing on to the statement.
The raids led to the successful prosecution of the company, Infocom, and five brothers who helped run it for laundering money for Hamas chief Musa Abu Marzook and violating sanctions against Libya and Syria. [My emphasis]
An important report titled The Muslim Brotherhood in the United States was presented to Congress last year by Steven Merley from the Hudson Institute. Steven found:
"The leadership of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood (MB, or Ikhwan) has said that its goal was and is jihad aimed at destroying the U.S. from within. The Brotherhood leadership has also said that the means of achieving this goal is to establish Islamic organizations in the U.S. under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood. Since the early 1960s, the Brotherhood has constructed an elaborate covert organizational infrastructure on which was built a set of public or “front” organizations. The current U.S. Brotherhood leadership has attempted to deny this history, both claiming that it is not accurate and at the same time that saying that it represents an older form of thought inside the Brotherhood. An examination of public and private Brotherhood documents, however, indicates that this history is both accurate and that the Brotherhood has taken no action to demonstrate change in its mode of thought and/or activity." [My emphasis]
Florida has been and remains a fertile field for the Muslim Brotherhood with front/affiliated groups like the Florida Chapters of CAIR, United Voices for America led by former CAIR leader Ahmed Bedier and Muslim Students Associations and Muslim Student Unions in our universities and high schools. To see which Islamic related organizations are near you please go to Islamic Finder and put in your zip code. You will be surprised.
Governor Rick Scott and Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll invoked their bedrock Judeo Christian values today during their inaugural addresses. Governor Scott declared his faith in Jesus Christ, recognized other beliefs and said the protections of religious expression in the United States are essential. Lieutenant Governor Carroll stated, "Rick and I believe to our core that God is our rock and foundation. What's most important? That we are not ashamed to publicly admit it. Without God we are nothing."
I hope the ikhwan is listening.
