FORCE THE PA AND HAMAS TO STOP ANTI-ISRAEL, ANTI-JEWISH HATE INDOCTRINATION NOW
No More Money for Bigotry and Hate
The horrific murder of the Fogel family did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas have saturated Palestinian society with state-sponsored genocidal propaganda. That's why Palestinians passed out candy and danced in the streets when they heard about terrorists murdering Jewish civilians during the second Intifada, and that's why Gaza residents celebrated the same way when they heard that murderers had stabbed the Fogels, knifed the Fogel's four-year-old son in the heart, and slashed the throats of the Fogel's 11-year-old and their three-month-old baby. That's why al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the military arm of Fatah, the ruling party in the West Bank, initially took credit for this atrocity.
The undersigned call upon the international community and the U.S. to demand that the PA stop all incitement to hate and murder Israelis and Jews. International funding and distribution of U.S. taxpayer money must be contingent on the PA eliminating state-sponsored demonization of Israel and Jews and glorification of terrorists who murder Israeli civilians. There can be no hope for peace if a society is fed a steady diet of hate. It must stop now. The PA must be forced to teach peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
BACKGROUND: The PA's hate indoctrination is self-destructive for the PA and dangerous for all Israeli citizens and liberal democracies. Palestinians also passed out candy and danced in the streets after 9/11 when 3,000 innocent Americans were killed. This celebration and promotion of inhumane acts must end.
PA indoctrination uses Nazi propaganda tactics, and it has direct Nazi roots. Amin al-Husseini, the Palestinian religious and political leader from 1920 until his death in 1974, collaborated with Hitler, broadcast Nazi anti-Semitism throughout the Middle East from a Berlin radio station, planned to bring the "Final Solution" to the Middle East, and infused Nazi anti-Semitism into the Arab national movements when he lived in Cairo after World War II. He was joined by escaping Nazis who were welcomed in the region and helped use Nazi propaganda to foment Arab hatred of Jews. Over 2,000 Nazis moved to Egypt, including the protege of Nazi Propaganda Minister Goebbels and Johannes Von Leers, who served in Egypt's Ministry of Information and translated The Protocols of the Elders of Zion into Arabic.
Palestinians grafted Nazi ideology and imagery onto their war against Israel. Arafat considered al-Husseini his mentor. Hamas' founding document echoes The Protocols, which is one of the hottest-selling books in Egypt. The PA charges that Israeli Jews are foreign interlopers who have no roots in the land, lies about Israel's actions, and fills its textbooks and children's TV programs with dehumanizing images of Israelis and glorification of "martyrs" who murder Jews. Some cartoons in the PA-controlled newspapers are literally replicas of Nazi cartoons that ran in Der Sturmer.
Last December, PA President Abbas awarded $2,000 to the family of a terrorist who tried to murder Israelis at a checkpoint. The week of the Fogel murders, the PA announced a youth football tournament named after Wafa Idris, a female suicide bomber, and Fatah held a procession commemorating the suicide bombers from Deheisheh, a community in the West Bank. Their posters are even plastered on the walls of Deheisheh's cultural center. The day after the massacre of the Fogels, Fatah named a town square after Dalal al-Mughrabi, the mass murderer who in 1978 perpetrated one of the worst attacks in Israel's history.
The EU and U.S. taxpayers fund the PA. Our money pays for the indoctrination of hate. This must stop. All U.S. and international funding should be contingent on the Palestinians eliminating the rhetoric of hate and instead teaching peace.
