An 18-year-old yeshiva student of Bnei Brak, told his friends on Sunday, that he was heading home, but his parents said that their son never arrived, Israel Police said.

Samuel Malachi, who studies at the Grodno Yeshiva of Ashdod, left his yeshiva on Sunday, saying he was feeling ill.

His parents filed a missing persons report after he failed to come home. The police have already started searching for the student.

Malachi does not have a mobile phone according to his yeshiva’s rules and regulations. Some believe that the student just went on vacation without telling anyone.

His friends told police that they did not detect any signs of stress and that Malachi was a good student. Anyone with information is urged to call police immediately.
