Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried, Grapple them unto thy soul with hoops of steel. - Hamlet. Act I. Sc.3.
There is a serpent that, if permitted, will consume the entire world, and when it has swallowed the world, it will turn and consume itself. Its appetite is insatiable and it dwells in the midst of all the nations. ISIS/ISIL is by no means the foulest manifestation of that serpent, the coils of which descend into regions beyond our imagination.
Mohammedanism is the ideology of all that is dark in the human soul. Unlike Satanism, which still exists largely outside of decent society, Mohammedanism has formulated an essentially blood-letting cult into an apparently coherent theology; hence it is naively termed “one of the great Abrahamic Faiths” and modern society deems it as acceptable as Christianity or Judaism.
This is a fatal error.
Except for the serpent’s lie in the Garden, Mohammedanism is the most sophisticated of deceptions ever foisted upon the human race and today’s virtual-leaders have shown themselves to be ill-prepared for the battle that is already being waged in the marketplace and courts of our cities. Don’t place too much hope in leaders; these are the ones who consider that their imposition of politically correct speech upon the rest of us to be one of their crowning achievements over the past twenty years. This has effectively made it impossible for us to deal with this threat to our culture by the civilised means of open discussion and debate. We either do nothing and say nothing because it’s impossible to debate without meaningful words, or else we take up arms, a thing we never resort to casually. But there is no longer any calm middle ground. Or, more accurately, the middle ground only permits one-way traffic, assisting the serpent to devour us.
The situation is dire and we are in greater need of one another than we have ever been before. The power to communicate, to share ideas, to encourage, to listen and to respect, are gifts placed within us for such a time as this and are beyond the warped comprehension of Mohammedanism. The slave mentality has no comprehension of that of the free spirit. The latter alone possesses the power to make and keep friends in spite of differences, to inspire loyalty and courage in another. It is this fellowship of mutual respect that will produce the hallowed home-ground from which we shall be able to drive this deception back to its point of origin. The truth is, we haven’t got a choice. We either do this or sit and watch the clock’s marking our final hours.
The persistent advance of the decadent culture of Islam into Western society, combined with the dumbing-down of honest speech through political correctness, can make us feel hopeless and defenceless; we become divided and isolated. The danger is that we allow ourselves to be driven within, and narrow our commitment to ourselves alone, to our own families, or to our own immediate community, however we may define that community. In short, we barricade ourselves in and cease to believe in the ultimate and inevitable triumph of goodness.
I shall confine my comments to the two communities with which I am acquainted and that are suffering acutely from this purveyor of all that is malevolent.
Why does the evil of Mohammedanism focus its attack most especially on Jews and Christians? Because these communities hold beliefs that are incompatible with Mohammedanism and can never find common ground with the dark theology that includes misogyny, amputations, beheadings, honour killings, dhimmitude and slavery. This is part of that eternal conflict between good and evil. Only the light of Christianity and Judaism can expose this foul deception; no political system in the world can do what these two sister religions must now be called upon to do.
And there’s the point. Two sister religions, or should we say, parent and child? For Christianity is the direct offspring of Biblical Judaism, even as the tree is the product of the root. Had there been no Judaism, the parent, there would have been no Christianity, the child, born into the Synagogue of the 1st century and soon parted from its parent, followed by two thousand years of war and peace between the two. History teaches us that neither true Christianity nor Biblical Judaism can be complacent that, by the year 2114, either will exist. The world systems of collectivism/socialism/communism/nazism have always despised this parent and child and sought their ruin but now, to worsen the situation, the all-consuming ideology of Islam is coiling around our societies. The future is narrowing in upon us claustrophobically.
We need one another, Jews and Christians. We shall stand together or fall individually. The old boast of Islam, “First the Saturday People, then the Sunday People,” reveals to us the calculated design behind the fact that in the Islamic territories from which the Saturday people, the Jews, have been virtually eliminated (820,000 being driven from their homes between 1948-72 and hundreds murdered) the attention is now turning upon the Sunday people, the Christians. We see this not only in Iraq and Syria but further afield, in Nigeria, the Sudan, Indonesia and elsewhere. It is the same as what happened 50 years ago, except that then they came for the Jews and we Christians mainly said nothing because they left us alone, but now they’re coming for the Christians.
We Christians must acknowledge that we have failed the Jews much more than we have helped them, and sometimes we ourselves did the persecuting. Distrust has lodged itself between us, and the only remedy is to face it head on and do what we must do to remove the obstacle. Not endless maudlin apologies but an honest and sane acknowledgement of failure and a frankness in getting to know the other. We must learn to love and genuinely respect one another. Christians and Jews are fine people, people of honour and sensitivity – “People of the Book,” as Islam itself admits – and fine people belong together, especially in these darkening days.
We must stand together – an attack upon one community must be seen as an attack upon the other. As it was at the beginning of this era, so it shall be at the end, Jews and Christians will be together; and those who fail to comprehend this will likely fall prey to the Islamic serpent, just as the stragglers in the Israelite camp fell prey to the Amalakites, may their name be blotted out. We must stand together.
When Casper ten Boom, of blessed memory, heard the edict that the Jews in Nazi-occupied Holland were required to wear a yellow Star of David, he unhesitatingly pinned one to his own clothes. This was an act of bravery and a spontaneous expression of a rare understanding of the spiritual ties that bind Christians and Jews. This is what we need today, that both Christians and Jews identify with one another, not in some cold theological way but with the passion of the gentile Ruth, whose name means Friendship and who flat-out refused to be separated from her Jewish mother-in-law. “Your people shall be my people, your God, my God….”
When “hoops of steel” bind us together, we shall be unbeatable and the Kingdom of Messiah will at last be realised.
