I know I sent this earlier, but have a look at some of the comments added since then. ‘PURE DEAD BRILLIANT’ SO THEY ARE!!

keeptheunion Get you're facts right, the Westminster government that dictates overseas policy is made up of predominantly english members of parliament. The Scots,Irish and Welsh are in the minority and always were. There is nothing racist in that fact, obviously truth you for one cannot handle. Troops are told what to do by politicians that have the majority in parliament as in any democracy. The majority of the mps in westminster are english therefore have final say on decisions.Like the ones that took us into illegal wars.Suggest you get the facts right and stop acting like a completely uneducated person . History doesnt lie. Stop showing yourself up and take off the blinkers.

I'm really beginning to warm (just a little) to the CEC due to their correct behaviour in:-
1. Last week, refusing to fly the Palestinian Flag over the Council HQ.
2. This week, rejecting this equally silly suggestion from Mr McVey.
We can only hope for more of the same from the CEC and rejoice at the chagrin which the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign must be 'enjoying'.
Can't wait for their next pathetic 'protest' march which hopefully will not be permitted, unless of course, they pay for any police attendance and directions!!

When the party manifestos were presented to the voting public, can someone show me where this nonentity McVey said he would be supporting Middle East political situations over which he has no control? If anyone voted for him last time....just remember him next time! The man is a fool and should get on with TRANSPORT which (laughingly) is under his control...or rather NOT considering the state we're in!

My goodness, 4 out of 26 comments 'removed' by the EEN - just shows how pipped and frustrated the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign must be at the virtually zero support coming from the commenting public. This is also supported by the fact that this 'organisation' has made no effort to respond to our postings and has probably only complained to the Administrator.
It begs the question:- How many comments would have been removed if we commentators had been criticising the SDL or BNP, etc ?
It is also surprising that a comments area has been allowed considering the ridiculous suggestion made by this almost unknown Councillor and the predictable nature of public responses.

Not sure about lodging a motion. Personally I would stick an "early day motion" in an envelope and post it to this guy. I think in his role as transport conveyor, he is already paying homage to the Palestinians by giving us the same standard of road surface as they have.

"Think Global act local"
Quote from Patrick Geddes - Scottish visionary and father of modern town planning (Edinburgh council more or less ignore his teachings, hence the various planning scandals in the city))
So lets act local
Lets have a look at the millions wasted by Edinburgh Council and the poor state of our schools and roads.
There needs to be an inquiry and a link to a petition calling for this is below

What is it about McVey? There's also that nippy, Scouse Tory, Esther who makes me rush for the volume control every time she opens her gob.
